Bringing Hope One Song at a Time: A Benefit for Puerto Rico featuring Christian Cuevas
The Rollins College Department of Music will host “Bringing Hope One Song at a Time: A Benefit for Puerto Rico featuring Christian Cuevas” on Friday, November 17, 2017, at 7:30 p.m. at the Knowles Memorial Chapel on the Rollins campus.
Cuevas gained international acclaim on Season 11 of the NBC singing competition The Voice, and is now giving back to his community in a concert benefiting Puerto Rico’s recovery efforts. Cuevas, a former Rollins Music student, will perform for one night only; all proceeds will be donated to the Central Florida Foundation’s “Together for Puerto Rico: A Hurricane Recovery Fund” to help the people of Puerto Rico.
“I have loved ones and family in Puerto Rico,” said Cuevas. “My success has given me a great desire to give back not only monetarily, but through bringing hope one song at a time.”
Cuevas will perform original songs and his versions of music by artists who inspire him, preceded by a warm up by a Rollins acoustic ensemble.
Tickets for general admission are $20, with all proceeds benefiting “Together for Puerto Rico: A Hurricane Recovery Fund” at the Central Florida Foundation.
