Russian-American pianist Olga Kern is recognized as one of her generation’s great pianists. She jump-started her U.S. career with her historic Gold Medal win at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in Fort Worth, the first woman to do so in more than thirty years.
In 2015 Vladislav Kern, Olga’s son, won First Prize at the Rosalyn Tureck International Bach Competition in New York and then became a Young Steinway Artist. As the winner of international festivals in Russia, Republic of South Africa, Denmark, and the U.S., he is following in his mother’s footsteps as a consummate artist. The bond between mother and son achieves new heights in this duo recital.
