Mary Wilson
What pieces are you performing, and what are you most looking forward to?
I am singing three songs with the Choir this December: “Silent Night,” “O Holy Night,” and “Dormi Dormi.” I love any arrangement of “O Holy Night” – the fact that this is new by Jamey [Ray] is just so exciting! And I love the “Dormi Dormi”. I have the [Bach Festival Society] Christmas CD “All Is Bright” and it’s lovely - it’s totally on our Christmas playlist!
What are your favorite holiday songs?
I love anything I can sing along to! I love the oldies Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra, but I really love Michael Bublé!
What do you enjoy most about performing with the Bach Festival Society?
I love the complete commitment from every member of the choir and orchestra. There are never any half-efforts. And it creates such a dynamic and energizing body that I love to be included!
What’s your favorite holiday album to listen to at home?
It is really a crazy playlist – everything from classical to pop to Elvis to standards! Again, it seems as if it’s all things we sing along to!
