Announcing Bach Festival Society's 87th Season
The Bach Festival Society of Winter Park announces its concert schedule for the 2021-2022 season, which will include 18 diverse concert programs and three additional community events. Highlights include two programs of music by African American composers—Nathaniel Dett’s Ordering of Moses and Joel Thompson’s Seven Last Words of the Unarmed (Apr 23 & 24) and Insights & Sounds: Exploring African American Composers (Jan 27); British vocal ensemble Voces8 (Oct 31); performances from the Juilliard String Quartet (Mar 12); Norwegian trumpet soloist Tine Thing Helseth (Apr 3); and mother and son Olga Kern and Vladislav Kern in a duo piano recital. And in a much-anticipated return to Rollins College, the Bach Festival Choir will take center stage for Mendelssohn's Elijah (Feb 19) and Mozart's Requiem & Beethoven's Choral Fantasy (Feb 25 & 26). The 87th Annual Bach Festival will run February 4 through February 27, 2022.

These concerts feature large-scale works showcasing the Bach Festival Choir and Orchestra. Concerts will be held at Knowles Memorial Chapel on the campus of Rollins College.

Insights & Sounds Series. Bach Festival Society’s perennial favorite for classical newcomers and aficionados alike. Join Dr. John Sinclair for a glimpse behind the scenes at classical music’s most intriguing composers and unfamiliar works. Part discussion, part performance, Insights & Sounds will give patrons a dynamic appreciation for the classical music genre. Performances will be held on select Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. on the campus of Rollins College. Concerts include:
