(Winter Park, FL–December 2, 2020)—The Bach Festival Society of Winter Park is adjusting the timing of its previously announced Spirit of the Season program and adding an additional performance after the first engagement quickly sold out. The previously scheduled 3:00 p.m. performance on Sunday, December 13 will now take place at 4:00 p.m. The newly added additional performance will take place at 1:30 p.m. The holiday production at the Central Park West Meadow pairs the Bach Festival Orchestra with special guest Voctave. The Rollins College ensemble-in-residence and renowned vocal group presents the performance debut of the group’s newly released Christmas album, Voctave Symphony Series: Christmas Edition, accompanied by the Bach Festival Orchestra conducted by John V. Sinclair.

Spirit of the Season: A Voctave Symphonic Christmas is Voctave’s only holiday performance this season. The new album has enjoyed great success, quickly becoming popular among fans of the genre. Rollins College professor Jamey Ray’s bright and gorgeous arrangements, in collaboration with orchestrations by Grammy-winner David T. Clydesdale, are featured on the album and will be brought to life by the Bach Festival Orchestra.

To support a safe and comfortable concert experience, a variety of seating options allowing for social distancing will be available in this outdoor venue. Tables with seating for up to four will start at $75/chair, standalone chairs for $50, and a “bring your own seating” option for $25 per person. Tickets for the 1:30 p.m. additional performance will go on sale Friday, December 4 at 11:00 a.m. Tickets may be purchased at BachFestivalFlorida.org or 407-646-2182.

Guests may bring their own snacks to enjoy at the performance or are invited to visit Park Avenue’s restaurants, which offer a variety of refreshment options for purchase within walking distance of the West Meadow.

In addition to the Spirit of the Season performances and other limited-audience, in-person performances at Rollins College, the Bach Festival Society will continue offering digital access to high-quality multi-camera concert recordings via Bach at Home. Tickets to Bach at Home events are available at BachFestivalFlorida.org.
