Bach Festival Youth Choir

Christmas in the Park 2024 presented by the Morse Museum.

The Bach Festival Youth Choir was established in 1992 and experienced a 3 year hiatus due to the pandemic. The triumphant return of the Bach Festival Youth Choir occurred in the fall of 2023 where they were invited to sing with legendary Diana Ross in Steinmetz Hall. They frequently collaborate the Bach Festival Choir, and were part of the nationally televised PBS recording of A Classic Christmas. In June 2025 the majority of the ensemble traveled to New York City to perform at Carnegie Hall with National Concerts. The Bach Festival Youth Choir is under the direction of Rebecca G. Hammac.

Students who love to sing and have a strong desire to learn and grow musically are accepted regardless of experience.

How to join the Bach Youth Choirs:

Fill out the Youth Choir interest Form above.
Students Grade 6-12: Email Rebecca G. Hammac to schedule a voice placement appointment time. Students will be asked to vocalize from their lowest to highest note, prepare one of the two short musical examples and will be asked to sightread or do some echo patterns. Voice Placement documents
Elementary Students are not required to do a voice placement, but parents are encouraged to reach out to Sondra Jones with any questions you may have.

Rehearsals

Bach Youth: Mondays 5:30-7:00 PM Rm 119 Keene beginning August 25, 2025

Bach Children: Tuesdays 4:45-5:45 PM, Rm TBD Keene beginning August 26, 2025

Tuition/Uniform:

Youth Choir $150 per semester
Children’s Choir $100 per semester
Bach Youth Choir members wear a custom embroidered Black Polo shirt, black slacks, and black socks/shoes for performances.
*Scholarships for tuition are available.

All State Audition Prep Camp 2025

Join us for an intensive four-day study session designed to help you excel in your FVA All-State vocal auditions! This comprehensive program will enhance your preparation, musicianship, and sight-reading skills while refining vocal quality, expanding your vocabulary, and mastering essential testing strategies. Gain confidence with expert guidance and personalized feedback in a supportive environment.

When: July 14-17, 2025
Hours: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Where: Rollins College, Keene Hall

Cost: $175 per student
