Bach Festival Society Statement on COVID-19 and Our Upcoming Performances

The Bach Festival Society would like to update you on steps we are taking in response to COVID-19 now that the World Health Organization has classified it as a pandemic. Our focus is on the well-being of our extended musical community and our strong partnership with Rollins College. Upon learning of the College's decision to suspend all large gatherings, our Board of Trustees has decided to cancel the Society's scheduled rehearsals and performances for the remainder of the season, including the Díaz Trio on March 29th and the performances of Mendelssohn’s Elijah on April 25 and 26.

Public performance is essential to the existence of our organization, but our priority now must be the health and well-being of our artists, patrons, volunteers, and the greater community.

While we are deeply disappointed, we know that music is a solace in difficult times, and we will seek other ways to celebrate the work and legacy of J.S. Bach in the coming weeks. Watch your email and our social media channels throughout March and April for a variety of ways to enjoy the work of the Bach Festival Society and some of our favorite composers digitally.

Our offices remain open and our staff will be working to prepare our 86th season of performances and events.

If you have any questions, please reach out to our Box Office at boxoffice@bachfestivalflorida.org

With regards,
Bach Festival Society of Winter Park
